A Journey For The Memories is a charity group founded by William Bohnak and is dedicated to helping Alzheimer's patients. William will be walking across America for Alzheimer's patients and hopes to raise money while doing so to help them in any way possible.
Hi my name is William Bohnak from Cuyahoga Falls, OH. My grandmother died when I was only 15 years old from the terrible disease of Alzheimer's. She was a loving, caring, and compassionate person to everyone she met. When she was diagnosed with the disease her life, along with mine were changed forever. I could not stand to see my grandma change her style of living. I recently graduated from Fortis College in Cuyahoga Falls, with an Associate's Degree in Applied Sciences of Criminal Justice, but before I start my career in that field I have decided to honor my grandmother's memory by organizing my own charity entitled "A Journey for the Memories". This fundraiser would be like no other event you have ever witnessed. I would start in my hometown and would travel throughout the United States. I would make visits to places including, Pittsburgh, New York City, Tampa, Dallas, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, and many other cities along the way. One of my lifetime goals is to travel around the world and help spread the word about Alzheimer's. I figured I could fulfill two goals of my life. The money raised would go towards organizations to help research for a cure for Alzheimer's, but I would be willing to donate to other causes. William left on his journey on August 1st of 2011!
